Welcome To Lilac Bank Cottage
Welcome to Lilac Bank Cottage, a self catering holiday home set in the beautiful conservation village of Crosshill, Maybole. Situated in the heart of the South Ayrshire countryside, near Culzean Castle, Burns Cottage and Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park, it is a lovely grade B listed period Weaver's cottage. Perfect for your short or longer stay and ideal for couples looking for a romantic break or sightseeing holiday.
A lovely stay at Lilac Bank Cottage! Here for a wedding at Dalfuff Farm and this was the perfect location. Warm welcome from Graeme and Paula plus yummy cake on arrival. Thanks also for the Culzean Castle recommendation for the post - wedding walk. Fab! Alison and Stephen
Built in 1826, our Weaver's stone cottage has been carefully restored to retain it's character and charm and now provides a beautiful fully equipped kitchen with fireside chairs and wood burning stove, large sunny sitting room and full sized bathroom. On the first floor is the lovely loft bedroom with very comfortable double bed and garden views. A perfect haven to relax and unwind.
The Cottage is very well placed for Culzean Castle by Maybole and the stunning Ayrshire coastline with it's lovely beaches and beautiful walks. Burns cottage and Galloway Forest, a Dark Sky Park are within a short distance. Dumfries House, restored under the guidance of Prince Charles, is just 40 minutes away. Enjoy a day trip to The Isle of Arran, often described as Scotland in miniature. Lilac Bank Cottage is very near to Dalduff Farm and Blairquhan Castle, both very popular for Scottish weddings! Walking, fishing and golf are also extremely well catered for with picturesque scenery and championship golf courses (only 20 minutes to Turnberry). The area of Carrick also offers 26 Castles for the sightseer and historian.
